How it works

Personal, clear and agreed in writing before anything is listed.

  1. Contact us with photos

Send a short description using the form below, then email us clear photos. We reply personally.

  2. Assessment and asking price

We look at the piece, discuss what it is and what the current market supports, and agree a realistic asking price together.

  3. Agreement and delivery

We confirm the terms in a short written consignment agreement. We cover the shipping to us, fully insured, or you can hand deliver by appointment.

  4. Research, photography, listing

On arrival we examine each piece, research it, photograph it in our studio and write a full description before it goes live on the site.

  5. The sale

We answer buyer questions, take payment, then pack and ship your piece to its new owner.

  6. Your payout

As soon as the buyer’s payment clears, we pay you the sale price less our commission, by bank transfer, with a clear statement of the sale.

Commission
A percentage of the final sale price, lower for higher-value pieces:

Charged only when your item sells. No upfront costs, no listing fees and no buyer’s premium.
Minimum value

Asking price
Agreed with you before listing, based on the current market. Any later change is made only with your agreement.

Questions sellers ask

If yours isn’t here, just ask.

What can I consign?

Original WWII German and US militaria: helmets, uniforms, headgear, insignia, medals, documents, groupings and field gear. We accept single pieces and whole collections, with no minimum value. We only list pieces we have examined and are confident are original.

How is the asking price decided?

We agree it together before anything is listed. We tell you honestly what we think the piece is worth in today’s market and why. If we receive useful feedback from buyers, we pass it on to you.

How long will it take to sell?

That depends on the piece and the price, and we can’t promise a date. There is no time limit: your item stays listed until it sells or you decide to take it back, and we keep you updated along the way.

When and how am I paid?

By bank transfer, promptly once the buyer’s payment has cleared. For consignments of several items, we can combine payments if you prefer.

Do I still own the item while it is with you?

Yes. The item stays yours until it is sold, and you can withdraw an unsold item at any time. We take the listing down as soon as you ask, with no fee, and ship it back free of charge. While in our care, every item is fully insured and kept in secure, monitored storage with controlled temperature and humidity, to museum standards.

Should I consign or sell outright?

Consignment usually suits better pieces when you are happy to wait for the right buyer. If you would rather be paid straight away, we also buy outright, with immediate payment upon arrival and inspection. See We Buy.
